2013 – Expected Releases
The most expected movie of this year is Super Star’s Rajinikanth’s “KOCHADAIYAN “. This film is directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya R Ashwin. This film is India’s first motion captured film.
The next most awaited film is Kamal Haasan’s “VISHWAROOPAM “. With equal support and oppositions this is film is released via DTH facility on 10th JAN 2013 and will be on theatres from 11th JAN 2013.
Maniratnam’s “KADAL ” has created remarkable expectations in film industry and audience. The story and dialogue is written by the legendry writer Jayamohan. Maniratnam has taken the responsibility of Screenplay and Direction. Tunes by AR Rahman have already created records in audio sales. Alaigal Oivadhillai fame Karthik’s son Gautham and Radha’s daughter Thulasi plays the lead role in the film.
PARADESI – Directed by Bala is based on the novel “Eriyum Panikaadu “. The film will definitely have Bala’s regular punch. The trailer has created great expectation already. PARADESI is Adharva’s second film and he would enter the finest Heros list.
Director Shankar’s next film is “I “starring Cheeyan Vikram and Amy Jackson. The details of the film are kept as secret as usual. Kollywood guesses that this film will be Shankar’s first thriller.
Actor Surya is waiting for a blockbuster by his next film “SINGAM 2 “. The film is written and directed by Hari. Surya plays the role of police inspector and this would be the only reason for the title “SINGAM 2”. Director says there are no other similarities in the story or screenplay as in his previous film “SINGAM”.
Ilayapathy Vijay’s next film is directed by A.L. Vijay. The film is yet to be titled. Vijay is pairing Amala Paul in it. Similarly, director Vishnuvardhan is directing Ajith Kumar and the film is yet to be titled. The lead heroine of the movie is Nayanthara.
Karthi Sivakumar has 2 films on a row, ALEX PANDIAN and BIRIYANI. Alex Pandian is directed by Suraj and music by Devi Sri Prasad. This film has the successful combo of Kathi and Comedian Santhanam.
BIRIYANI is directed by Venkat Prabhu, Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. This film is 100th film for Yuvan Shankar Raja.
MARIYAN – meaning ‘ a human of no death’. MARIYAN is directed by Bharat Bala, one of the greatest friends of A.R. Rahman. The story of the film starts from Tamil Nadu and travels to South Africa. Dhanush plays the role of a fisherman and Parvathy plays the lead heroine.
Actor Jiiva has 2 films on a row, ENDRENDRUM PUNNAGAI and DAVID. Apart from these two films, Jiiva joins actor Jayam Ravi in a film directed by Jaganathan.
Actor Jayam Ravi all set to rock in two films, Ameer’s AADHIBAGAVAN and Samudhrakani’s NIMIRNDHU NIL.
